Our after school program has kicked off!!! Staff and members are getting to know each other and preparing for a POSITIVE and FUN year!
Franklin Site had Show and Tell! Turtles. Stuffed Animals. Trophies. Art Projects. These are all the items the Franklin members of the Hempstead Boys & Girls Club brought to Show and Tell to end the first week of the program. Jahtavius McCall was the brave first grader to start off the day. He brought in his poster of Michael Jackson and then sang the chorus to “Beat It.” The presentations continued from there since many of the members and staff participated. Everyone put a lot of effort into what they brought. The kids were able to learn a lot about each other and the staff.
